Funding
Funding and marketing are important issues for all voluntary sector organisations, and take up a large amount of time and effort, not to mention heartache. CVS’s are used to helping their member groups with identifying potential funding sources and filling in applications, and there is a lot of expertise and experience available across the county to be shared with the voluntary and community sector. The Herts CVS Group already works in partnership with the Hertfordshire External Funding Resources Network (HERN), and aims to provide a long-term external funding and marketing strategy, for the voluntary sector in the county. This will include co-ordinating a county-wide training programme to enhance existing provision, and to reach out to hard-to-reach groups, promoting CVS services and encouraging take-up.
