My group feels that we need extra help but no money to pay staff. We have never used volunteers’ services before - can you advise us on how to recruit some and how we should manage them, please?
I have been part of the management committee of a local charity for the past 18 months and have now been asked to be chairperson. They offer horticultural therapy for adults with special needs, which is a sector I have worked in for 6 years and thoroughly enjoy.
However if a job came in within the charity, I would love to apply for it. Am I allowed to be a trustee as well as a employee? if I’m not being paid to be a trustee?
I am looking at establishing a small voluntary community group in Hertfordshire and was wondering if there is any system for a bigger organisation, such as the CVS, holding our funding once we have made some grant applications?
